At the end of the day all i hope is that this game is good and holds it own against other FF games of the past, i' m trying to get the bad taste out of my mouth that has been in there since the 360 version was announced so don't hate for not dissin' the game.
I vaguely remember buying the first game mostly cause it was cheap and damn was it worth it, its my 2nd favorite RPG on the PSone and prob one of my top 10 RPGs i've played.
Sony need to make one for ps3 since the major shortage of good JRPGs this gen blows.
Yes you hate Squarenix we get it, but to say that FF13 will flop? blinded by hate much? i don't think a single Final Fantasy game has flopped, this one even with its flaws is guaranteed to sell 2mil+ copies in japan alone.
not to mention that its multi-plat everywhere else which only increases the target audience.

I watched the gameplay video, and to be honest it doesn't look as great as this guy is making out, FF13 already has lost alot of peoples interest but this game will more then likely fail where FF succeeds.
FF13 (dispite its downfalls) is a must buy for JRPG fans, whereas this still has alot to prove if it wants my money.

Now i m just guessing here but, the reason why it wasn't better then San Andreas, would partially be from the single dvd9 it was released on.
And before you start spewing crap about my fanboyism , i m simply saying that they could of added sh1tloads more content if they were to go to multiple discs.
San Andreas probably filled a dvd9, how in the hell would you think they could give the same great story, playability yet offer this gen graphics without having huge down...
This NEEDS to come to the west, right now there's a huge gaping hole where the RPG genre should be, we need more good JRPG games on the PS3 asap.
I've downloaded the jp demo and played it, it seems really good, id buy it without eng voice overs as long as it has eng subs.

While i still will buy 13 (lack of rpgs doesnt give the option to pass)
it doesn't look that great tbh, if it can be as good as 10 then i'll be satisfied.
I doubt there would be anyone to disagree in me saying that most people are looking forward to Versus as that looks sh1tloads better then the quite bland 13, hopefully Versus will leave as much of an impression on me as 7, but that might be asking for to much.

Back on topic, i think the prices for both xbox and ps3 are already to high, in australia where i live, new release standard version games cost between $100-$120AU($84.2-$101 US).
I recently imported folklore new for $55Au ($46.3US, shipping included)from the US, whereas it would cost $90-$100 here.

There is no set release date for ff13 yet, gamestop date is bogus.
This is a stupid post, whats the point of having games delayed so no one can get them rather then have them all come out on time and give people more choice, if you can't buy all the ones you want, so what? it gives you the option to buy them when you get the cash straight away instead of waiting months.
Funniest thing about this is the fact that even after the test/ass kissing they still have to pay $10 more then what linux costs lmao.
